Cracked

Old Scout,
We have not had the oil changed within the time frame of the leak so we are not sure what caused it. I am thinking it was the corrosion that weakened it and then it cracked.
Steve

The part that Alpine2002 had manufactured is available as a spare part from Dynamatic. It is the relief valve and here is a drawing.
As you can see it comes complete with the cap and valve.
The part number is 553110405160. It can be ordered from Berendsen or Sunsource and costs $145.44. It will take 6-7 weeks to get as it is manufactured to order.

Darn

I wish we would have known that 6-8 weeks ago, it would have saved us a bunch of money and time. Thanks for posting this, John. I am sure it will be very helpful to any others who have this same problem.

BYW: how and where did you find this information?

Steve,
The US rep for Dynamatic, Chris Zainer, forwarded the drawings etc. to me. We have been corresponding for a while.
I just bought a brand new wax valve on Ebay for $70 just in case and I may buy one of these relief valves as a spare also. I have already emailed Berendsen for a delivery quote. Will PM you when I have more info.

Until you tracked down your leak and found the manufacturer and model of the hydraulic pump I think none of us knew what we had. The label on my pump faces the engine so I could not read it. Now we know and I was able to pass this info on to the factory rep. and get the previously posted info.
Someone has to be first and we have all been there. Hopefully you will feel that you have helped other Alpine owners now or in the future. Thanks for pointing us in the right direction.

Just received my order confirmation and the good news is it costs $103.26 FOB Charlotte, NC. The bad news is the factory have quoted 13 weeks delivery.

Just received the new hydraulic pump relief valve. It actually took 8 weeks from order to delivery via Berendsen.
