Hydraulic synchronization cylinder leak

Can anyone help me with this issue?
I discovered a slow drip of red fluid and traced it to the hydraulic synchronization cylinder. This is in the front passenger-side basement compartment of our 40' MDTS.

The first two images are my unit. The third image I found online; it's exactly like mine.

A new cylinder would be about $200. Would rather repair than replace.

Is this a DIY fix, take it someplace fix (where?) or mobile repair? How would you approach it? How much time do you think I have before it causes a problem? Click image for larger version

If you have a hyd cylinder repair shop in your area, the most economical repair would be to take it to the shop. It appears to be a small cyl which should be
a DIY project. My thoughts

Are the seals on the cylinder leaking or is it the connectors?

Looks like it's the seal. Called manufacturer HWH, waited 2 wks for return call, and was told cylinder probably needs to be replaced. [emoji19]

IIWY I would take a trip to Moscow, IA, the HWH folks are real helpful and the work they do very reasonably priced (I just had them service a leaky shuttle valve this month). I changed our appointment twice, when we got there for our 9:00 AM appointment on the Tuesday after Labor Day they took us in 15 minutes before 9 and had it out by lunch time, total bill was $62!

fill out the on line form off thee hwh website. they will need the ap number off the sync cylinder. some can be repaired, and sone cant. i dont have a list of either ones.take a look at the cylinder. if the ends can be screwed off, it can be repaired, by replacing the seal. be sure to clean the rod off with wd40, and maybe some 0000 steel wool. it looks like its got stuff on it.
if i can help, please feel free to either call me at 1 602 549 3638 or text the same number
if i dont answer, please leave a message and phone number. i will call back asap.
my email is pfmaddoxc@att.net
i work full time for hwh corp. i do not solicit part sales, service work on this forum.
