On a factory tour I spotted a thermostatic valve in the back of the Aqua-Hot that looks like it is used to adjust the domestic hot water temp. Has anyone adjusted this valve to lower the max temp of the water to prevent scalding?

Dale- No to your question; I wasn't aware of adjustability.

When I run on electric the output is comfortably scalding hot, but on diesel it is Holy @#%&!! scalding hot. So when we are dry-camping & I need a shower, I run the diesel cycle for 60-90 seconds, shut it off, then take a comfortable hot, low flow shower. There's enough heat in the system to get clean & rinsed.

I found ours and checked it, it does adj hot water temp. I was able to reach over the top of the unit and turn the knob. I still have to fine tune it. I think only the later units (Aqua-Hot not Hydro-Hot) have the valve.
