Ice Maker Inop

I have the Dometic Gas/Electric refrigerator running on electric now. I have never used the ice maker because the supply hose had a water leak. I just fixed the leak, opened the water supply valve and moved the ice maker bar down to turn it on. I recycled the wire bar and the ice maker still does not fill with water. Ideas?

How long have you had it turned on? Mine takes forever for the first batch to start. But then it makes ice fast. Also is your refrigerator down to its recommended operating temp?

your I/m will not fill as soon as you drop the arm it has to go through a harvest cycle and fill is the last step and with no ice in the mold to slow it down it probably will take a couple of cycles before it calls for water

Keep us updated on how it's going. I'm having I/M problems too so I'd like to learn.

I gave it some time and it is producing ice now for the last two days, but it produces very little over a 24 hour period.

That is the nature of the beast. Once the tray fills, they keep up quite nicely.
