I purchased a Eletronic Tire Pressure Monitoring System Model TMA-10B from Tire Sentry System to monitor our 2005 Alpine Limited FDTS and 2005 Honde Pilot. I want to mount the receiver center forward on the dash and and need guidelines for the wireing downward through dash and coax installation to the underside rear of the coach. Suggestions and help, Please... Fax & Phone numbers listed.

I have the Pressure Pro tire monitoring system.

With the 3-4" rubber antenna that came with my unit I sometimes lost signal from the inside rear duals or my toad so I purchased their extended antenna with the 30 or 50' cable.

I mounted the antenna under the coach just ahead of the rear axle. There was a piece of angle iron that was part of the coach floor support structure, not the chassis frame, that I drilled a 1/2" hole in and attached the antenna. It is up out of the air stream and located where rock and other debris should not be a problem. I could have easily attached an angle bracket for the support if there hadn't been a place already.

I then routed the cable forward along the driver's side edge of the coach and attached the cable to the botttom of the coach using nylon loop supports and screws. I was able to feed the cable up and behind the front generator cap and through an existing hole in the firewall. If I had drilled a hole I would have either foamed around the cable with expanding foam or bought a rubber plug from an automotive parts suppler and cut it to slip over the cable and fill the hole.

My display monitor is mounted to the driver's left just below the window and it was a rather simple matter to work the cable to the unit.

The extra cable I secured with plastic ties and tied up under the instrument panel. The entire installation took less than one hour.

Since you are considering mounting the display monitor in the center of the instrument panel you will probably have to drill a hole through somewhere. You should be able to get up behind the dash by removing the passanger's side front kick panel and sliding out the hydraulic control panel / cup holder unit.

Harold- what did you screw the nylon loop supports to? Is the antenna secured just forward of the axle on the passenger side?
Thanks.

I have the 36' Alpine. Under the coach floor there is a 1 1/2 - 2" angle iron frame that supports the floor. The metal frame ends just behind the front edge of the water fill/sewer service compartmet door.

On my coach there are three 6-8" long angles extending aft. I drilled a hole in the center one and mounted the antenna there. I then routed the cable over to the drivers side just outside the angle iron frame and just inside the compartment door lower lip. I attached the cable to the outside of the angle up against the floor bottom by drilling holes in the angle and attaching the nylon cable supports using hex head, metal taping screws.
