instrument panel failure

Does anyone know who supplied the gauges for Alpine 40 foot 2004 motorhome
And does anyone know how to get schematics for wiring in the dash?

Jim, take a look at the Alpine Coach Association website: Alpine Coach Association. The "Technical Library" has quite a bit of information posted there, including some wiring diagrams.

Good luck.

We don't have instrument wiring for the 04 & later (Vansco equipped) coaches on the Tech Library. Yet. Still hoping AppleJim's plea meets w/success.

Jim- the cluster of three gauges plus the idiot light cluster (dark black oval to right of gauges that light up on initial "Key-On") are by Actia and come as a set. You probably have one long oval of idiot lights; later models have two shorter ones. You should be able to pull the idiot lights out toward you after removing the screws and read the Actia tag on the assembly. I think you will find the idiot lights are connected to the gauges, maybe by a twisted wire pair. With the part# from the lights, you can contact Actia at the above link and find out what options you have for their equipment.
Removal of the gauges takes more work. Perhaps somebody who has done it can describe an elegant method (aside from hauling out a big sweaty wad of money and paying somebody).

Jim, after pulling the dash you will find the big gauges are are held in place with a screw-on collar. Mine would not unscrew so Actia told me to cut the collar off with a dremel and they would send a new one when they returned my speedometer. All went well, it took 30 sec to cut off the collar.

Jim- Check out this thread on Speedometer/Cruise Control Problem Solved from the Monaco group. More than one bizarro gauge problem was solved by adding a new ground path.
