I have our '98 remodeled coach back, and I thought I'd give an update if anyone was considering doing something similar. I had researched different companies that do this sort of thing. I decided to use Classic Coach Works in Lakeland, FL. They have a terrific website. I can't say I wouldn't use them again, but I don't feel they were totally honest with me. So be careful with being very specific on what you ask for if you use them.

Most of the work they did was first rate, or so it seems after the 1200 mile drive back to St. Louis. We had a 'luxury vinyl' wood plank floor installed that is great. If anyone is familiar with the first year '98 model, they're pretty austere. We had fabric valences installed over the windows to add some color, and replaced the plain edge on the slideout - most new coaches have wood. We also reworked the front cabinetry to add a 26" LCD TV. This allowed for the installation of power sunshades, a manual one on the driver's side window (they installed a really cheap one that I'll probably be replacing with a scissors support frame), and new custom drapes.

Each item was priced separately, and I told them I'd go for everything if they would agree to include a $335 lighted mirror-riser step package. They agreed almost too quickly. They had five weeks to do all the work. When I returned last Thursday to pick up the coach, they didn't do the step package giving me a lame excuse about a steel frame that wouldn't permit drilling for the wiring. Nonsense. Either they didn't intend to install the package all along, or they ran out of time. They also put in gooseneck lights on the driver's and passenger's. They wired the driver's light (and the power sun shades) so when you turn on the headlights it overrides them so they don't work. They only work when the headlights are off! I'll have to have that straightened out. They said they'd reimburse me. I hope they will, but time will tell.

David,
I'm sure some of us with older MH's would like to see pictures of before and after. I would be interested to see how the front cabinets turned out.

I would also love to see how the interior turned out. Most interested in how they added the TV & the modifications to the cabinets.
