A quick question for those that change their own motor oil. What is the best way to remove the oil filter. It looks to me that I need to lift the bed and go for it that way. My arms are not long enough to crawl under the coach and reach it and there seems to be too many objects in the way to get at it through the exterior engine hatch. Would like to hear others solution to removing the oil filter.

On my Newmar, it is removed from the bottom side on a creeper........Easley......Filled with fresh oil(Rotella 15w-40) and reinstalled.

You do it from below using a filter wrench like this on a long 1/2" extension.

I remove my filter from under the coach too.

Are you sure you're looking at the OIL filter? It's on the driver side.

I remove mine from under the coach using a "webbed belt" attached to a 12" T-handle and wrap the web around the filter then twist the T-handle.

Strap/web wrench, 1/2 inch drive, from Tractor Supply--about $7!!!!! Works great...besure to pre-charge filter and protect open end of filter from debris as you install--I use the plastic packaging from the filter to cover end until just before contact with engine mount....

I tried the web wrench but found it slipped on a very tight filter and also crushed the container so I switched to the one I mentioned earlier.
You will find that the filter is heavy when it contains oil and can be hard to engage the thread at the right angle when installing until you have had some practice. Also you need to tighten the filter 3/4 turn after hand tight. There are marks on the filter for this but you can't see these from the bottom so I add my own with a marker pen.
Don't forget you need 2-5 gallon buckets to catch the oil when you drain the sump.

I lubed the coach today and got all locations but the one for the brake pedal? Got a new filter wrench and fumoto valve coming. Do most of you add your oil with a hand or drill pump? I noticed the oil pan has two plugs, the bottom is for draining is the upper plug used for adding or draining if over filled?

You drain the first 3 gallons from the top fitting and then the second 3 gallons from the bottom one. That is why you need 2 buckets.
I use gallons of oil and transfer to quart jug which I then pour in via funnel. The oil is too thick to use a pump, which I did try once.
