Ok , I read everything I could find on this last night including the jeep forums. Came up with some info to convey to the dealer. When I finally got to a live person at the service dept and told him (in a nice way , which wasn't easy) what was going on with the transfer case after the recall ,he said(are you ready?)" this is the first he had heard of this"! Then told me to bring it in and they'll look at it. So then I informed him I had info on this issue from the Star Team complete with a file number and would he please take this file number and check it out as I'm not paying for Jeeps screw up and I'm leaving for Florida on the 23rd and need the car.
Well he took all the info and said he would look into it and call me back. Twenty min later he called and said the info checked out and if the code is present in my jeep they will reprogram it. Called the DW and she's got an appointment at 7:30 tomorrow morning.
Here is what you need to tell the service dept. Look at the Star Team file #S132000016 update after 3/3/2014. If the recall was done before that date apparently it didn't complete what ever it was supposed to do. I'll let you know what tomorrow brings.
