Kyocera Solar Panels Defective

I have 3 Kyocera 120 watt solar panels that are mounted on the roof. I noticed that my charge rate had dropped significantly. To investigate, I covered two panels at a time and found one totally dead.

The dead panel was only producing 9 volts, instead of 18, with no load. The other two panels were both low. I called RV Solar Electric, where I bought the panels in 2001 and they confirmed there was a manufacturing defect with the late 90's, early 2000's panels. RV Solar Electric is making arrangements for Kyocera to replace the panels, under warranty.

I highly recommend RV Solar Electric, in Arizona. They stepped right up, after 8 years, to coordinate replacement of the defective panels.
