L couch

Anyone replaced their couch with one? Our couch is 78 inches and in looking at a couple of RV furniture sites no one has one this short. The reason I would like to put one in is the wife has never been happy with the way she has to sit on the couch to watch TV and sew (or whatever). The rocker chair on the passenger side, she cannot get comfortable in, because the head rest is uncomfortable for shorter folk. She calls it the KING chair, for whatever reason I don't know.

Of course pictures would be nice.

Rich, what about having the existing couch reupholstered while perhaps modifying it to fit your needs. We recently had some renovation work performed and stopped short of doing the couch & replacing our Euro chair ($$$).

I think you may be better off throwing away your chair and replacing it with a euro chair that fits your wife, maybe like this. I use one (not this particular chair) all the time and it is far superior to any couch.

Then I would have to sit on the couch.

You really need to put the TV on a lift inside a cabinet under the large window on the passenger side and then replace your couch with one of these. BTW my couch is 82" wide.

thought about removing the KING chair and putting a TV on the wall opposite the couch. I have not fully ruled out. Just thought someone may have put in an L couch.

Guess they were wider on the larger coaches, or maybe being earlier makes a difference. The space I have is the space I have.

By the way....notice how the pop-ups on this site are now all about RV furniture? Funny how when I search for something, the pop-ups change. Too bad they can't figure out when I purchase something they don't have to continue trying to sell me. Oh well.

Hi John

That sounds like a great idea. Do you have any pictures of your setup??

Sorry to say I have not actually done this myself. But it does follow the industry trend to move the TV out of the overhead, since there is no where you can sit to actually see it up there.

I took both the couch and the chair out of our rig and added two recliners on drivers side and mounted TV on passenger side on a wall mount! It really opened up the area....

I don't get any pop-ups, probably because I am using Firefox with adblocker. Or maybe its because I give iRV2 money that I don't get that hassle.
