We have a problem I have tracked down to the satellite receiver. After about half an hour, the left speaker goes out on the entertainment system. This only happens when watching TV... we never have a problem when listening to the radio or CDs/DVDs.

Has anyone tried to access the back of their satellite receiver? It looks like a major project to get at the connections. There does not appear to be any access from the back, and the front panel has the Xantrex display, the tanks/LP Gas/battery status indicators, and the water pump switch, which seems like a lot to contend with.

I have been into the LG Satellite Receiver (mine is an RCA receiver with an LG TV monitor) area probably 15 times for various reasons.

On our '06, I take the cabinet doors off (remove the screws from frame around the display panel), then remove the black display panel (4 screws, one in each corner), and let the display panel dangle from the attaching cords, while pulling out the receiver. The receiver is just setting on a lumber frame; may have some velcro holding part of it. Once it's out it's easy to check the connections.

Same procedure works for the cabinet on the other side of the TV in case you have to follow the wiring there, where there's more connections than on the passenger side.

BTW, if your cooling fans for the electronics are noisy, it's a good time to replace them when you have the doors and panels off.
