If anybody is interested, I noticed today that Costco in Irvine is selling the 17' Little Giant ladder for about $200. It is not the lightest ladder in the world, but it works well and is long enough to get you on the roof of the coach in an emergency.
Seems like a decent price compared to what I paid!

That sounds like a great deal. I paid over 300 for mine 7 plus years ago. Find this to be the best ladder I have ever owned and would still pay over 300 to replace it. Just might have to go out and get another just for the MH.

If it really is a Little Giant brand, and not a knockoff, that is a great deal.
Love mine

I have had mine for about 17 years, it's great. I saw the portland, Or store had the same deal, went back, and they are gone now. I checked Little Giant's website, and the Type 1 is 300 or so I think, so Costco has the best price. We wanted one for our new coach, but they were gone. Will wait for it to come back the Type 1A is way to heavey for the MH.

I was in Costco two weeks ago and got one of these. It is the Little Giant brand, $199. There was a sales person there that day and told me they were $300 at Home Depot. Went to Home Depot to check it out and they were $350. so back to Costco for the ladder. Fortunatly for me it's about 1/4 mile from Costco to Home Depot.

Home Depot used to claim that if they can verify someone else selling for less, they would meet the price and charge 10% less. Go back to Home Depot, if it is that close, and buy it for $180!!!

I have one, love it, but has anyone found a good place to store it on a 36MDDS? I may have messed up when I put in slides in the under-bays.

I have an '04 36 MDDS, and keep it in the front driver side storage compartment. I just put a 66" Joey Bed tray in that compartment, and it fits perfectly on that. The tray extends under the water tank, just about flush with the far side of the tank.

I tried getting the Costco price from my local Home Depot but the sales guy said it wasn't the same ladder. Seems there are many types of the M17 type 1A aluminum Little Giant Ladders (hey, they all looked the same to me!). The one Costco has at the $199 price is model number 10502C & is called a MegaLite. My local HD didn't carry that model number. I searched HD's website, too, & couldn't find that model number there either.

Here is the link, but I cannot find Mega Light on the site. You might send customer service a question through the site, let us know what you find out. That the one for me, as I am sure weight is going to be an issue.

I have the commercial Little Giant ladder and like it for things around the house. But, I find it a lot easier to bring the HD telestep ladder with us in the Coach.
Unloading everything in the basement to get the Little Giant out and then wrestling with it is more than I want to do when simply washing the windshield and applying Rain-X. Then, of course, you have to store it again.

I've been carrying the Little Giant around for a couple of years, but would like to have an HD Telestep tall enough to safely get up on the roof. Is there any model tall enough to do this?

I have the Wal*Mart 17' version.
About $110-$120.
I'm completely satisfied with it.

I keep looking at the xtend & climb one every time we're at Sam's Club. They seem nice & compact so they won't take up much room in a storage bay.
Anyone have any opinions about them?
