We're getting ready for our first road trip next week. We spent a full day moving our gear from the 5th wheel (Alpenlite BTW) over and found less room on the inside, although we are making a few mods to help out.....but WAAAAAAY more room in the basement.

Ordered a slide for the basement (42 X 60) that will be here Thursday so we'll have time to get that installed, already moved the Winegard Travl'r over and it's working, and we're converting the closet above the Washer to a slide out pantry and the hardware will be here for that Thursday afternoon......not to mention a slide out tray for pots and pans in the cabinet next to the stove.

We found some tile we like today at HD that might work for a back splash in the kitchen so we'll see how that works out.

had my plumber friend come by today and he'll be helping install a Propane Quick Connection just under the back of the rear curbside storage door so I can hook up my Camp Chef cooking stuff and also working out where and how to get the smoker situated for travel and cooking.......all in all just getting started but trying to get everything ship shape and livable for us ASAP.

Cheers!

Paul,

I saw your pictures on FB. Be aware there is a chance you might experience some rattling of the Trav'ler while on the road. Something about the aerodynamics of the Alpine Coach causes them to rattle in that location. Mine did and I moved it behind the front A/C unit. No rattle.

Yours may not rattle, but I thought I would give you a heads up just in case.

Thanks great info......I'll certainly know if it does.

Good looking coach should serve you well. We had a 03 Alpenlite Ridgewood 5er for 10 years, one of the best RV ever made, wife loved it.

For sure....I'm already missing a few things on the 5th wheel, specifically the Magnum 2812, Progressive EMS, 800W of Solar and room for a wine cooler and the 32" TV in the bedroom, all on my list for the Alpine..........eventually
