I have been in two different parks and connected to 50 amp service and my power goes off sometimes several times a day. It usually resets it self. The last time it did not so I ran off the inverter. Power surge unit said bad ground check wiring. Have check everything. I plugged into 30 amp service last night and it worked fine. Any ideas?

The "surge unit" is measuring the quality of the pedestal's power. Maybe you did check that. When I had the same problem it was a pedestal issue.

Later that day, after the campground maintenance guy re-wired the pedestal, it fried my surge guard and inverter. For some reason it did not affect my Autoformer (which allowed the high voltage through, though not a spike).

If you have not done so, check all the wiring into the surge guard, to ensure it's all tight. Also ensure you take the allen wrench and check that one ground wire, held down with that screw type. If you have not done so, read up on Generator wiring and those issues on this forum. Many folks on here have reported loose wiring in those areas. When I check mine, some were so loose, I could pull out the wires from the connection. This might be where your problem is coming from.

I am going to purchase a electrical checker, and never plug into pedistal power without checking it first.

Thanks Guys. It was loose wires. Glad it was an easy fix.

Update on lost of all 110v power.
It was not loose wires that was causing my problem. It was a major internal failure of the inverter RS2000. Replacing inverter tomorrow.
