lost power to slide,jacks controller

Strange thing happened today. Just finished Jeeping at Truckhaven and started packing up. I had already put the slide in and ran the vacuum while the hairdryer was in use. Yes I vacuum,no I don't dry my hair. The generator went to idle and stopped charging. I went to extend the generator out to check breaker and there was no power to control panel. After fooling around with switches and starting engine the control panel came to life, I put the jacks up and drove home. At home I ran the gen out and reset the breaker and the generator was back to normal. I retracted the gen and shut everything down. When I put the coach in storage I found I have no dash board fan for heat or air and control panel is dead again. Iím almost sure itís the switch by the entrance steps but ran out of time to pursue this problem. Has anyone ever encountered this situation? Iím open for any suggestions.

Thanks Gator

Gator-
Could be anything, but that chassis shutoff switch is a good place to start. I've found a good number of them that have loose connections. 3/4 wrench. Don't short it against anything or be prepared to have a lively time.

Check also the two (black & red) pass thru studs at the firewall, just ahead of the passenger's feet. There is an inside & outside side to each pass thru, 4 connections.

Thanks Mike
The kill switch by the steps is good, Large studs appear to be tight
There is a solenoid right in the middle of all my fuses at the front passenger seat.
It kind of looks like a starter solenoid, I hear it click when I turn key to acc.
I’ll go back with a test light and test it.
I have a inverter and AC schematic but no 12 volt ignition Docs.
Will see, Thanks for the info. Gator

Its a 2000. I did track the problem down to the accessory solenoid. Its mounted right in the middle of the fuse panel. A copy of the 12v schematics would be great for future reference.
