Cool M&G toad brake

Has anyone installed the M&G unit in their toad? I'm looking to install the unit in a 2012 Wrangler Sahara but I would like some of your valued imput before I make the purchase of the M&G unit.

I have used the M&G on three vehicles and I like it. Once installed it you never have to think about it other than check its operation when you connect. It has never given me any problems in over 11 years of use. I had looked at others and I kept coming back to M&G. No additional wiring to connect or disconnect only the air line to connect and M&G will not discharge your battery. I would never use anything else.

Dave, does the Alpine need any connection other than air? I ask as we have hydraulic brakes.

Jerry, we too use the M&G and have for 10 or 11 years. We really like the ease of preparing to travel. As Dave said, you just hook up the air line and you're ready to go.

They installed a "gizmo", like a smallish bottle, after the air compressor that supplies the air for our coach's air bags...the same compressor that I believe allows you to use a hose to fill your tires. I'm sure Dave will be able to explain it much better than I...only a girl, ya know!

Good luck!

Yes all Motorhomes need to something added to them to get the M&G to operate. On the Alpine you will need a converter which will take the brake pressure and open the air to the toad brakes. The converter will connect to the hydraulic brakes system and into the coaches’ air system. When you order just tell M&G you have and Alpine with hydraulic brakes and they will provide you with the necessary parts for the installation.
