I went back to re-read my maintenance schedule and realized there were a few items I didn't understand. So, for me, and I assume, others, if anyone can enlighten me I would appreciate it.
1. Air Dryer: Inspect for leaks and blockage of purge valve daily.. Where is the air dryer purge valve?
2. Inspect the air intake for blockage daily. Is the air intake where the air filter is located?
3. Moisture skimmer: Inspect for blockage daily. Where is the moisture skimmer?
4. Surge Tank Cap: Inspect for leaks daily. Is this the radiator cap?
5. Surge Tank Vent Lines: Inspect for kinks and leaks daily. Is this the hose betweeen the radiator and the overflow tank?
6. Battery isolator: Check for loose lugs. Where/what is the battery isolator?

1. Air dryer is in last compartment, PS, 10" or so in diameter and has a rubber tube on bottom formed like a chisel, maybe 1.5" diam. (08 & later moved to DS inboard of radiator); the split in the chisel point can be blocked shut by mud; grab it & squeeze & you should be able to see the split open; if so you are good.
2. Yes.
3. Dunno.
4. Yes.
5. Yes.
6. Isolator is usually an anodized (blue, red or yellow are common colors) aluminum heat-sink looking thing w/fins and battery cable studs. I'd look on the aft side of rear battery bulkhead or lift the bed & look on PS toward front of bed box. I don't recall on on our 06 but maybe I just never noticed. Pre-Vansco chassis' had them for managing battery charging, & on photos posted here I have seen them on rear wall of battery compartment.

Thanks, E-Mike... great description on #1! Pardon my ignorance, but you make two references to "PS". What is "PS"?

The '05s did not have an "isolator" so you will not find it. The isolator was used to provide 2 isolated battery charging sources from the engine alternator. The '05 and later models with the Vansco had a large relay which connected the chassis and house batteries together.
