may need a new RS2000 inverter

Am getting new batteries which are 5 years old Thursday.. if it doesn't solve my inverter problem I may need another RS2000. I have a friend who has a new one and said to make him an offer. he now has a SOB rig. I have an extended warranty that may help if I can get to a dealer that can do it but No dealer here in Montana will deal with my ext. warranty company so may end up in Oregon if it lasts that long. I would just have to pay my friend for his out of my pocket. Not sure how long I can keep up the maint. on this rig and have been luck with the ext. warranty. Any idea what to offer him for the inverter if need on which is a direct replacement and easy to get to..
