Question MCD Wheel/Tire Covers

We need one MCD Wheel/Tire Cover made especially for Alpine Coaches. They are the black covers that slide on a rail over the wheel well/opening. Don't ask me how we lost one but we did. Never did figure out how it happened.

Anyway, MCD no longer makes them or has any materials for them. I have checked the forum classifieds and there are none there. So, if anyone has any they no longer use or perhaps sold their coach without them, we would be interested in purchasing them. We know for a fact that the covers from 2000 Alpines to 2006 Alpines are interchangeable as we used the ones from our 2000 for the 2006 when we purchased it. We would gladly buy the whole set if you have them just to get one.

Thanks for your help!

I own a set for my Monaco Windsor and they are great covers.

Here's a suggestion. Take the matching wheel cover for the other side to an automotive upholsterer who chances are has some vinyl that would come close or match what you now have. Then using the other side as a template, I am positive that they could make you one that would work. They may have to search for the plastic core that gets sewn into the top that's used to insert into the track.

That plastic core is normally used for awnings and other things which most likely comes in different diameters.

I had a local Auto/RV shop make tire covers using sunscreen fabric and made the covers with snaps. He sewed a round piece of conduit into the bottom hems for weight and lay a all 4 on top of each other and roll them up.They are washable and you have a choice of some colors. I had him make the window covers and tire cover with the same fabric.

Thanks Richard and Kraig,
You gave us some really good ideas. I had been trying to get them through a furniture upholstery shop with no luck on the fabric. So now we will try an automobile upholstery shop unless another solution surfaces. We really like the way they go on and look is why we are trying so hard to find one. Appreciate your help!

We bought material and fittings from Sailrite and made our own covers. They have the piping you need to slide into that track.
