Do like I did. Take them off and throw them away. I bought some nice brass barrel latches drilled a hole and mounted them. Now all I have to do is push down and the door is locked for travel.

Got mine from Aubrey's RV Center, (509) 453-4709. They bought out the Alpine stock when Alpine went out of business.

Any chance of getting a picture of your installation?

The plastic clips are available at almost any RV store. We never use ours as the doors don't move around anyway.

At the suggestion of another forum member ordered p/n 310460 from supplier below which is a pair of mirrored wardrobe door latches and replaced the WRV items which kept breaking about 3 yrs ago, no problems since. They work significantly better than originals.

Here's a second endorsement for the "bigfish" suggested black plastic door latches. They're made of softer plastic, don't break, no shart corners, and better engineering than the original WRV latch. I got mine from PPL RV in Texas.

This is what I bought. I simply mounted them to one side of each closet door near the bottom. Then using a large drill bit, I drilled through the bottom channel and into the floor. To secure the closets for travel, open outside door, and latch the inside door. Close the outside door and latch it. May not be elegant, but the doors stay closed in transit and when unlocked the doors work just fine with no plastic garbage on the frame grabbing your hands/arms.

450Donn Thanks for posting in response. I do not like plastic ones that came with the coach and we have the scars to prove it; I keep looking for alternatives and will give your solution some consideration.

I just bought the clear plastic holders from Camping World. Part # H527 (Mine both broke on the same day.) They are only about an inch and a half high compared to the 5 or 6 inches on the originals but they work fine. They come 2 in the pack and I bought two pairs so now have spares.
