funny you should ask, as I did a lot of testing and found them to be the same with the dash air on max..also found the Winnebago to be more noise'y from the wind noise , in fact I shut off the engine and coasted down the road and the noise level was the same...I did seal the windshield and a few other mods that got the winne quieted down...as far as the statements that you can't talk going down the road,... it is hard to compare the smooth quiet ride of a alpine, as it is built like no other DP 34'r, I've had journey's bounders, discovery's, expiditions,.. all on the freightliner(freight shaker) chassis..you couldn't hear the motor, but get on a little bit bumpy road and you would think the whole coach was coming apart..

here's going up about a 7% grade pulling a loaded box trailer.. I was right at gross vec. weight...the wind was killing the power, and added to the wind noise... but 4th gear ...

here was my tiffin allegro..running up hill @26,000lb 75 mph.(the posted speed limit)...had no proplem talking in this coach either...
