funny you should ask, as I did a lot of testing and found them to be the same with the dash air on max..also found the Winnebago to be more noise'y from the wind noise , in fact I shut off the engine and coasted down the road and the noise level was the same...I did seal the windshield and a few other mods that got the winne quieted down...as far as the statements that you can't talk going down the road,... I found them to be false...I also did a muffler mod to where you couldn't hear the motor going down the free way..super quiet,it took a whole bunch of trials and errors to get there,, but finally did..
it is hard to compare the smooth quiet ride of a alpine, as it is built like no other DP 34'r, I've had journey's bounders, discovery's, expiditions,.. all on the freightliner(freight shaker) chassis..you couldn't hear the motor, but get on a little bit bumpy road and you would think the whole coach was coming apart..
