Need Info RE Battery Solenoid

We are going to have to order a new chassis battery solenoid. Does anyone know if the Trombetta solenoid #24812 is the best? If not, what brand should be be looking for and where can we get it? For that matter, where can we get the Trombetta if it is the best?

We have a 2005 FDDS and just had the chassis batteries go dead. We are sure the solenoid is the problem but just need a little info.

Why are you sure it is the solenoid?

My thanks to Old Scout. I did use the "find" function. There is a lot of information there. Not sure it is exactly what I need, but it will keep me busy for a while going through it all.

In answer to Barb, we know it is the solenoid because there is voltage across the contacts when the coil is energized.
