Hello All,

I have been reading this forum for some time now. As the previous owner of a ITASCA Sunova 29R, I have taken the plunge to Alpine. I take delivery of my 36 FDDS this Saturday. My question to the forum is, are there any areas of the pre-delivery inspection where I should focus?

Thanks to all,

sdcyclist

Floyd- (I'm presuming the SD Cyclist is Floyd?) use the "Find" feature, above left, on the Forum thread list for Alpine, and do a search on "PDI" and you should find a lot of ideas. good luck w/your toy!!!! And welcome aboard. You'll find a lot of info an help here.

Hello, Welcome & Congratulations Milo:

The PDI is great the only thing is that we (OK me) tends to forget most of what is told to me or what was shown to me. I would suggest you take a lot of notes. I would even take a look at the roof up close. I would open every drawer, compartment, and try every switch just because I am curious. Hope to see you at one of our Rallies.

sdcyclist,

I suggest a lengthy, written PDI checklist that you and the dealer go over together. I sent such a checklist that I prepared to you in a private email.

Milo, congratulations on your new Alpine. From all of us it would be nice if we could tell you it will be trouble free. IT WON'T. After you get the bugs out and it will be d*** frustrating at times, you will end up with a great coach. In my opinion there are two things different about an Alpine. 1)This forum is worth its weight in gold. Nothing I have ever dealt with did I ever experience anything like the group of people in this forum. They are terrific. 2nd)WRV is an extremely helpful company. There are times we don't think so, but they do come through. If you want a comparison read some of the other posts other than Alpines.
Good luck and again congratulations.

Thanks to all for the responses!

The PDI went well as I did what the Forum suggested and downloaded an extensive checklist. It took 4 hours for the PDI. Now, all I have to do is learn the Silver Leaf VMS!
