New to the Alpine Family :-). We just bought a new 2001 38201 this weekend. It handled wonderfully compared to other Coaches we have driven. This forum was a big help in our decison between a few others. Thank you for all the information provided.

C & R:
Welcome to the Forum. You will find lots to read here. Don't panic if you find problems related to newer coaches as they may be unrelated to yours. Your coach is pre-Vansco but may be part of the brake recall mentioned in some posts.
When I joined, I started reading from the last thread forward. Boy, did I learn lots. Feel free to ask questions here. You might try to search out anything specific by using the "search this forum" tool at the top of the Alpine Forum's main page.
Also, you can modify your "signature" to include your model and year. That will help get the right answer sooner. See the UserCP to modify it, add an avatar (photo), etc.
For even more information, join the Alpine Coach Association (.com) for copies of old brochures, manuals, manufacturers lists, how-to's and more.
Welcome!

C&R- Welcome to the family. Hope to see you around regularly here and at rallies by Alpine Coach Association and a local chapter near you (IIRC local chapters are listed w/links on the ACA site).
The Tech Library has a lot of info on your coach's systems. And if you need copies of the electrical schematics for your chassis, you can "PM" me by clicking on my screen name and choosing send a Private Message for details.
Don't know if you've tried the Search feature from the Alpine Forum summary page, but you can find a lot of specifics if you handle your search strings cleverly.
And you can add a "signature" to your posts w/your coach year & model, so folks w/more specific info can zero in on what might help.
Welcome again!

Thanks for the guidance. This is our first Motorhoome. So far it has been a great experience. We feel that we did well in choosing this Make/ Model. Thanks again.

C&R, Make your check out for about $ 100.00 to E. Mike's cantina,c/o El Nippo Saloon, Medico. Trust me it will get to him. That will cover the first quarter dues to the Alpine Coach Assoc. Memberships are scrutinized heavily and need to be seen & discussed by all members. Might be oh 6-7 months. No probelem, just keep sending money.
Congratulations on your coach. Trust me Eng. Mike will keep it functioning. .
Devil made me do that besides Oregon Coyote told me to do it whereever he is. Long honeymoon!

Welcome to the Alpine family, C&R! Yes, do consider joining ACA and a local chapter. EMike is correct that the links are on the ACA website, so just find one near where you live or in an area of the country you may be spending a lot of time traveling. In addition to what you will learn here and on the ACA website, attendance at one of our national or regional rallies is a fabulous way to learn more about your new coach. I always say, "Just open a bay door, stick your head in, and in no time 4 or 5 helpers will show up!" It's the guys' favorite pasttime.
Of course, we gals are no slouches, either! It's always fun to tour someone's coach to find out how we each organize and decorate things.
In addition to all of these organizations and resources, you might also consider joining FMCA (Family Motor Coach Association - FMCA is for motor coach and motorhome owners. Motorcoach articles, motor home blogs, motor coach advice and motorhome videos.), who hold 2 national rallies each year and publish a monthly magazine. As president of Alpine SoCal, like the ACA and other chapter presidents, I have certificates for a year's free membership in FMCA. If you are interested, just let us know here on the Forum and whichever of us is appropriate will get that to you.
Hope to have the opportunity to meet you soon at a rally!!

Gail's post wasn't quite clear. The Alpine Coach chapters are FMCA-licensed, so you have to join FMCA first. Our opinion: it's a good value.

Franklin, you are quite correct...to be a member of ACA, SoCal, NoWACA or NorCal, you must also be a member of FMCA. I should have made clear that is really step number 1. However, if any Alpine owner has not yet joined anything, they should contact an Alpine president first to take advantage of the free first year of FMCA dues for which we all have certificates.
I apologize for the confusion!
Gail

Ryan,
I'm glad you are enjoying your new Alpine! Send me a PM with your contact information, and I'll ensure that the right person from ACA gets in touch with you. You can send me a PM by clicking on or hovering over my name, a drop down menu will appear, and the second item is "Send a Private Message..."
Have fun!!
