Dale, Sorry for the late reply, i have been traveling. I got the tubing at Lowe's, it is 6" sewer pipe. I also got a 6" stove pipe end cap from Lowe's. I hope this helps.

I would not plug both ends, if the sun screen is damp or wet when you put it away, you might have a real mess the next time you took it out, so I would leave one end open and make a few drain holes just in case.

Dave,

I chose to cover them up to keep them clean as my tubes are exposed to road grime. I never store anything wet. I would lay them out on a tarp in a smart bed to dry and then stow them.

I tried Lowes and Home Depot to no avail.
