No 12v to coach from batteries

Got to dry campsite, turned off engine, coach was dark. No 12v at all. after verifying coach batteries were charged I traced the power to a two stud block on back wall below big fuse. 12v on battery side 0v on other stud. moved input wire to output stud and everything lit up.

This looks like a fuse but too small. Studs are only about an inch apart. On starting battery side is a similar gadget but the studs are further apart. They are labeled something about connection to power switches. Sorry I do not have exact label, coach is in shop.

What purpose does this thing have and where do I get one, if I even need it?

No. It connects directly to the first battery with thick cable and large studs but is black plastic and thin. Does not look like a CB or fuse. Coach is in shop so I cannot take picture.

Sounds like battery isolator solenoid..
Look around near the entry door. Do you have a switch labeled something like "STORE / USE" if so, press the "USE" side, yo should hear a CLUNK and the solenoid will pull in.

On left under the fat Inverter fuse (300A), is a "MegaFuse" block that takes a 250A ANL type fuse. If there is a fuse there, it has bras colored spades & black plastic fuse body, flat, not like normal cylindrical fuses. It is labeled To House Disconnect.
on the right, about same height, is a two-stud gizmo like what Mel posted, larger and no doubt a self-resetting breaker; I have no ideal what rating; label is To Chassis Disconnect.
Sounds like ANL House fuse is burnt out or missing. They are available on eBay and elsewhere tho the 250A size is not common; I usually buy 3 at a time cuz somebody needs them in Quartzsite while dry camping.
