We have just returned from picking up our coach in AZ and noticed that the odometer said the trip was 2800 miles and we know the trip was only about 1800 miles. The speedometer was correct according to our Garmin to within 1 mph. Has anyone else had this problem?

Is the odometer set to register kilometers?

There should be a button to push on your odometer to switch it between kilometers and miles.

One (1) kilometer = 0.621 miles or 0.621 miles per kilometer.

So, 2800 kilometers(?) times 0.621 miles per kilometers = 1738.8 miles(?), which is close to your estimated 1800 miles.

Therefore, Norm4015's guess is likely right on.

Either that, or, your Coach has a lot less miles on than you think!

Good possibility it is set to Km. When we bought our coach it was advertised as 57,000 miles. Turned out to be only 35,000 for the same reason. Made us very happy too, we were hesitant to buy with the 57. The Carfax report looked like 20,000 were put on in 4 or 5 months. We though the owner did some serious camping before selling

Thank you everyone for the helpful information. That was the exact problem. I held the button for a few seconds and now the coach only has 13,711 miles on it. This is a great forum. Thanks again to everyone who responded.
