Oregon title issues

I'm guessing that a lot of Alpine owners have bought their coaches in Or. at some time or other. We traded for a coach there, (Junction City) and consumated the deal on April 25th of this year. The state would only issue a temp. paper tag for ten days, for out of state travel. However, the DMV can take up to five weeks to process and deliver you a title. In our case, that left us with an un-licensed motorhome sitting in our driveway for a month because we couldn't get a plate for it until we had a title. We now have the title, (came in the mail on 6-16) , but I just wondered if anyone else has had that problem.

If you bought it from a dealer, call them and ask them to send you another temporary tag. At least in Texas, that is how it would work-- no first hand information on Oregon.

I just received a car title. It had been over 6 weeks, we called and they said it would be mailed out the week after I spoke to them. It took forever, they were bad in the past, but not this bad,

We bought the CC in Junction City, took off from the dealer for a three week vacation. When we got home the registration paperwork and use tax check were waiting at the WA DMV. We did keep our old plates as the DW likes the letter/number combination so WA converted the plate to a "vanity plate" No problems and we drove the rig the whole time, even got stopped and got a speeding ticket with no licensing issues.
