Other Mechanical Hobbies

Just curious if any other fellow Alpine owners have any other mechanical hobbies other than their Alpine Coach? My other wrench turning hobby is my Grand dads 1956 F-100. I have restored it a little past what it was when he had it and it always keeps his memories alive every time I am with It.Click image for larger version

Nice lookin '56. My first car(?) was a '56 Ford PU, 292 4sp.

Nice Viper also!!

I now have a '90 Jag XJS 5.3l V12 rag top.

The Jag makes WRVs ideas seem perfectly logical!

I wrench on my Jeep as needed (or desired).

Also have a '66 Mustang awaiting restoration and a '73 VW that I need to re-assemble.

I built a 40'x60' shop for my 'hobbies' (and to store the MH), but find I enjoy riding my horses more than twisting wrenches these days. Still plan to put a four-post lift in the shop though. Getting to the age where crawling under vehicles isn't as "fun" as it used to be!

Let's see:

I have four motorcycles.....and just got back from a 9500 mile ride to Alaska and back on my 2015 KTM 1290 Super Adventure.....rode alone.

I have a rock crawler and I am going out tomorrow for the next four days having fun. The Alpine will be there. For mild fun I also have a Jeep Wrangler.

We have a ski boat and will be going to Lake Powell in three weeks. The Alpine will be there.

And for fun, I try to keep all running nicely and ready to go at any time.

Something to do on arrival

My Alpine pulls the attached in an enclosed trailer to the Oregon beaches, Idaho and Utah dunes, or our Jeep to places like the Grand Canyon of Utah at Moab. It's a great worker, and these toys all require much attention. Incidently, the mid-engine sand rail has a 3.5L NA Honda out of a Saturn VUE - about 300 HP pushing about 1500 lbs, so runs pretty good. Having fun with the kids and Grd Kids...
