Greetings from dreary Yakima!

We are on day 3 of our PDI/CPU process at the factory. I have to tell you all that we are very pleased with several things:

1. The fit and finish of this rig is far superior to our 2004 when we picked it up nearly 4 years ago.

2. We have found only small issues for WRV customer service to address, except for a contrary thermostat that resulted in a couple of very chilly nights. Izzy advised us this morning that they expect to finish nearly everything today. We will take off this weekend and live in it at a full service park while in Junction City to get a few new cabinets. Then, we will return to Yakima after using stuff we can't now use (e.g., cable TV hookup, washer/dryer, and the like), to do a final review.

3. The service from Izzy, our CPU rep, is outstanding. He is the most knowledgeable person I have ever dealt with at WRV. He has tought us things about long standing systems that we didn't know after over 6 years of owning Alpines. And, his assistance in learning all of the new systems (entertainment center w/ satellite antenna, Silver Leaf, SmarTire and inverter) is invaluable. I just cannot believe all that he has learned in the 5 years he has been with WRV...I can't say enough about Izzy's capabilities!

Bottom line, is this has been a very good experience! And, I promised all of you to tell you all the truth...and this is it!

ps...we LOVE our new windshield (I think we were the guinea pig), and it makes the view of WRV's service center huge!! One of the best parts is the new windshield wipers...what coverage!

Could you tell us more about your cabinet changes? I know I will have to change the "way too small" dining table --to make room for computer equipment), but I wonder what else might be needed. I look forward to dealing with Izzy.

Norm, the Oregon Coyote is not going to tolerate being put into a cabinet, trust me.

Gail & John, we spent the pre rally at Hilton Head last week and then put in another week just because it is a gorgeous campground and the weather was perfect. We saw the new coaches including the one piece windshield and everything you say and more about these new coaches is exactly what we saw. Much improved workmanship obviously by people who are being trained by adequate people. The coach doubles inside with the one piece windshield. It is a pleasure to hear your comments as we may well be trading our 2005 on a 2007 if we can get all parties to agree. It is extremely refreshing to hear about the improvements. As you know I seem to be the bad boy on the forum but put credit where credit is due. I saw a world of improvement and listened to Mr. Fish, Ron Doyle & Burk Morgan with a form of enthusiam that has never existed in my short relationship with WRV.
Please keep us posted with your new coach and our sincere congratulations.

Ted: BEWARE!!!!! Someone has stolen your identity and is posting nice comments on the forum.

PS Coyote says it is indeed dark in there but cozy and warm due to the electronics-- plus the mice are quite tasty.

Gail- Congratulations to you and John on taking delivery of your new Alpine. You two have waited a long time for this moment, and it sounds like the wait was worth it! Enjoy- I'm anxious to see your coach in Hemet.

May you have MANY happy miles with your new RIG!
I know our '06 was an inprovement over the '04, and if yours is more of an improvement, WRV is on the way to the top! I want to believe the worse is behind all of us!
Congrats!

Thank you all for your kind words! In spite of the rainy weather here in Oregon, we are REALLY enjoying our new home...especially Sammi, who was getting real tired of being squished into the back of our Yukon with luggage, etal.

Ted, I'm so glad that you, too, saw these improvements when you were at Hilton Head. It's nice to know that it wasn't just one coach that they did well on!

Norm, we bought the quad slide, so you loose all of the overhead cabinets on the passenger side as compared to our triple slide. So, we deleted the big lounge chair, purchased a much smaller, but very comfortable, euro-chair. Then, we had WRV extend the under table cabinets all the across the slide. To get more of that lost storage space, we are having Scott Adams in Junction City make a drawer under our sofa (we don't have hydrohot, so that space is open), and add a larger cabinet to the front post of the fourth slide for a "mini" computer desk. This cabinet will hold my laptop and small printer and give me a bit of storage, too. We deleted the small cabinets that WRV puts at the base of both ends of the fourth slide. I'm a little worried still about the added cabinet blocking the walk way when the slides are in, but, I'll let you know better tomorrow.

Take care all, and we'll see many of you in Hemet!

YIPEEEEEEEEE!!! We are so happy for you two. Was the one piece windshield a surprise to you? We all knew that WRV was coming out with it, but did you expect your coach to have it?

Looking forward to seeing your new rig at Hemet!

Tom & Patty, I will have to learn how to get the pix on here when we get home...probably in another 10 days to 2 weeks. Of course, if you come to Hemet, you'll be able to see it in the flesh...so to speak.

Hugh & Cyndi, I think we were the first coach to get the new windshield...or at least nearly the first...and yes, it was a wonderful surprise.

Well, once irv2 finishes reviewing OC's photo of the Stacy coach again, I will try again to post it. Cold weather in Portland is affecting Coyote's paws.

Thanks Tom & Patty
