We want to take this opportunity to thank Keith Shomaker and his sister, Karen, who own and operate the Redlands Truck and RV Service Center in Redlands, CA for the work their employees performed on our 40', 2004 Alpine Coach. It is rare that one finds a company whose owners and employees exemplify honesty and integrity as their normal day to day operation. Keith and Karen both told us that they would ensure that they would not let us leave unless and until we were both completely satisfied and happy with their work, and happy we are.

We needed shocks on our motorhome and brakes on our car trailer. Keith analyzed our total "rig" and recommended several options to correct the issues we brought to him. He recommended that we replace our worn shocks with new Koni shocks and that we also add a Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer kit on the front axle of our motorhome. We have 45,000 plus miles on our coach and I believed Keith's reasons for his conclusions. Keith also recommended the installation of Motion Control Kits, one for each air bag.

The shocks and Safe-T-Plus were installed; then we drove the coach. We have always believed, after driving coaches built on other chassis' like Spartan and Freightliner, that the Peak Chassis developed and built by WRV is the best and most stabile motorhome chassis on the market. The ride improvement from the Koni installation was so striking that we had Keith install the motion control kits. That resulted in yet another striking ride improvement.

Our trailer was treated with the same careful and thorough servicing. Each step of the brake replacement was thorough and complete ... including packing all wheel bearings and properly adjusting the new linings after installation.

When we called to make the appointment for the chassis work, we asked Keith for a recommendation for a dishwasher installation. Keith said, "Look no further, we'll do your installation". Keith requested that we arrange for the appliances to be delivered to him, which we did. After he removed the Atwood cook-top/oven unit, he installed a Fisher Paykel dish drawer with an Atwood three burner cook top in the counter immediatelly above the dishdrawer. The installation was completed professionally and expeditiously and, like Keith said, we left with more than just happy feelings about Redlands Truck and RV Service Center.

We are full-time travelers and wholeheartedly recommend Redlands Truck and RV Service Center and we will continue to arrange our schedule so that when our motorhome needs service, we will be in the area for Keith and Karen to provide needed service.

Hi Chris and Debie,

When we bought our first Alpine coach in 2002 we toured the factory at our first "Homecoming" in Toppenish. When the tour concluded, we had a chance to talk with the man who designed the Peak Chassis. He said that when cornering and negotiating long, slow curves small jets of air were automaticlly injected into the air bags that were on the opposite side of the of the chassis from the direction of the turn. That was why the Alpine coach stayed "level" when cornering.

I always thought our coach cornered level, but Carol disagreed. When we had the work done at Redlands Truck and RV, the owner, Keith, suggested that we have him install these motion control "check valves", one on each air bag. Each valve looks like a brass cylander enclosed in a green rubber sleeve.

As soon as the installation was completed we took the coach out for a test drive on a road that we knew would cause it to sway. From there we took the coach to a winding road. I'm normally not one to rave about new "Gadgets" but these Motion Control Kits virtually eliminated any sway there was before they were installed.

Between adding the Koni shocks, the Safe-T-Plus Stabilizer and the Motion Control Kits, our coach now really feels like we are driving a sport tuned car.

We drove the coach right after the new shocks and Safety-T-Plus were installed; great improvement. Then we drove it again, right after the motion control kits were installed and there was an additional significant improvement the ride quality. The improvement was almost as tangible as the difference between the old shocks vs:new shocks.

Now to the important part; the product is sold under the brand name of Super Steer, Motion Control Kit. Part numbers are UT4045, 1/4" kit and UT5055, 3/8" kit. They did the installation, but all it consisted of is disconnecting the line and installing the valve, then just reconnecting it.

We believe the bags were inflated ... Keith at Redlands Truck & RV can certainly give you more details. Keith's phone number is 888-249-0124 or 909-792-0314.

We shopped around for the Fisher Paykel dishwasher and the best price was found was from Recreational Vehicle Appliances, Inc. in Bend, OR. Their phone number is 888-782-3861. They were extremely helpful and shipped the dishwasher directly to Redlands Truck & RV Service in Redlands. The most difficult part about the dishwasher was obtaining a new Atwood cook top ... Atwood does not sell direct to the consumer, so you need to order through a dealer. Took more than 6 weeks to obtain the new cook top. The problem was that we definitely wanted the electronic ignition and apparently this item is not stocked by any supplier or dealer.
