Paint for 2000 40FDS
I need to do a little paint work and have been looking for paint codes or data. Anyone have an idea of where to find them or experience with matching the colors? Can a good RV painter match colors like you do for house paint at Home Depot or Lowes?
Thanks for any help.

The paint on your coach is 18 years old, it has faded during that time, it is best to have the paint shop match the colors on your coach. Any competent shop can do it, some better than others.

I just had one of the colors matched at Ideal Auto paints in St George UT. Did a good job matching. They even drove 15 miles out to me so I didn't have to try and squeeze into their lot.

I went through the trouble of obtaining the original paint codes for my '03. Took them down to a dealer in Denver that sells the original brand of paint and had them mix a pint of each color. Took them to a body shop to get some work done. The body shop declared that none of the paint I provided matched good enough so they did a computer match. Don't waste your time with those paint codes!

Paul, I've tried attaching a short video. May still be too big. If it doesn't work I'll try sending some still frames.
Thank you for your help,
Mike

Thanks Dave and Bobbi. I was hoping to patch the places where the clear coat had deteriorated, but it looks like I may have to actually have the stripes done professionally.

So while my coach is a 2001 model it was built in late 2000 ans this is the paint chart for my color scheme at least.
Hope this helps:
