My folks are in the process of buying a 2006 Alpine. They are taking possession from the dealership on Monday and I am looking for the PDI checklist for them. Can anyone give me some direction as to where this can be located? Thank you in advance. This looks like a great place to be and I am going to make sure they know of it. Thanks again!suzanne8694@earthlink.net

Hello & Welcome Logan:

Some of the members have a PDI check list that they have prepared and they my send it to you if they see this post. First take a lot of notes. If they do not have your parents do a complete walk around and inspect paint, glass and roof, have them open every door, and look at everything. Start in the cockpit ask how everything works including switches engine controls, cruise control lights 4 way flashers, steering wheel controls, how the brake and accelerator peddles move. If it was equipped with a Sliverleaf ask how everything works. Have them check the living area and ask how the A/C and heating system works ask what all the switches do and check to see if they so work. Ask how to reset the inverter and the Vasco units. How the TV works including the Satellite System and Stereo (Remotes). How to connect to outside TV cable and roof antenna systems, water, sewer, and shore power etc. Ask alot of questions.

I can go on and on unfortunately they will forget most of it like the rest of us did. Too much information at one time and we forget most of what was shown to us. Have your parents join this form and ask questions we will attempt to answer them. Have them attend an ACA Rally or one of the Regional Rallies and they will meet many Alpine owners who will show them how most of the components work.

I hope this gives some ideas if you have more questions please feel free to contact me (909) 214-0000

logan8694,

I sent an email to you with an attached MS Excel spreadsheet of a PDI checklist that I prepared last year for pickup of my 2006 Alpine. It is very extensive, so you might want to some spend time studying it and understanding it.

Dale,

Could I get you to email me a copy of your PDI checklist. I could use it for when I get my new coach. Too much to remember to check at one time.

Thanks in advanced

Hey Dale, can I get a copy of that checklist, too. We will be picking up our new 2007 in a few weeks, and I have been working on building a PDI checklist for a while now...it would be good to have something else to compare it to. My email is gjstacy@cox.net.

007, I checked out your posting on the New Rig Show-off Forum...what a fantastic wealth of information!!

I'm sure glad we still have a few weeks before we are doing our PDI so I can absorb all of this! Even tho this is our 4th motorhome, there is always more you can learn, and the more we test before leaving the factory, the better.

Thanks a bunch to both of you!!!

Gail

Gail,

With as many coaches as you have bought, you should have a PDI checklist committed to memory by now!!!

Okay, okay, Jim! I suppose you are right! I am just "somewhat" anal about making sure I check every little thing while I am at the factory...after all it has been nearly 4 years since our last purchase (oh, my...a new record!).
