Pilgrim International has broken off merger talks with Western RV of Yakima, Wash. The deal was to close by the end of July.

But the company said Tuesday that it has ended discussions with Western's owner, Monomoy Capital Partners LP. The deal fell through because the companies could not agree on terms, said a statement from Pilgrim International.

Having been through too many mergers in the past (but not knowing anything about the terms they were discussing), my unqualified opinion is that it's probably for the better.
Usually a consolidation follows a merger and people get hurt. To say nothing about relocation of activities, comingling of assets and compromises to design integrity.
The Bayliner/Sea Ray/Brunswick example comes to mind.

Hopefully, the folks at WRV will not be adverseley effected by this and WRV as a company will continue it's progress.
