I have a '96 Safari. I have the PTL door lock on my M/H. Love it. Just a spray of something once a year to the top mech will keep it working.
As to the inside plastic piece, it looks to me like something off a GM car, 70's-80's. PTL could shed some light on a part number.

Monty- Your coach may be new enough to have the new door style. If you feel a 'detent' grabbing the door when fully open, so you have to give a firm tug to release it, then you have the new door. If no grab, you have the Microsoft Vista version of pos-a-lock (i.e. doesn't work as designed). Our coach is an early-ish 2008 w/the new door, and we like it better than the pos-a-lock we had on the 06. There are times a lock-open feature would be nice, but generally the detent suits us better sort of like Wayne above; guess this is a personal preference/type of use thing.
Tom & Laurel- Yes, PTL sold all doors to WRV since inception, at least up to our door design, but I think ours is a PTL also. I googled them and their product pages are "under construction" so couldn't verify the latter, but I know the former to be true.

All,
Called them - 1-810-664-2310 - Believe I talked to Debbie, very nice lady. WRV left them with a lot of debt, so they are not going to stand behind the warranty for any door parts according to her. She gave me the onwers extension number, but I am not going to give that out here, as you should call them direct if you want to discuss adjustments to your doors. I was quoted $61 plus shipping for the part, and although I feel that is fair, it's not something we have to fix now. It's staying broken for a while.

Well, I got tired of the door closing on me when ever we opened it. I ordered the parts today. I must say doing business with them was a pleasure and would not hesitate to do additional business with them. I suggested their engineering staff monitor this forum.

We are having trouble with our pos-a-loc on our 2004 Alpine. Oiled it as suggested in earlier posting. The latch will engage against the cam by pushing with a screwdriver and will lock the door open like it is supposed to. Handle will unlock it. Our problem is, there is nothing that is making the latch go against the cam to re-engage it unless we move it manually. Is there some sort of spring-loaded mechanism that pushes the latch against the cam? (If so, where is it?)

There is a spring underneath the plate that the cam goes through. I don't know that the spring is replaceable. I think there are 6 screws that hold that plate on, and another 5 screws that hold the plate at the other end of the arm to the door frame. I recently replaced the whole arm/plate/cam unit, and now all works well again. (The wind had caught my door on a recent trip and jammed the cam so it would not move. Lubing the cam didn't solve it.)
PTL customer service was very helpful in telling me what I needed, and how to replace it. It is a pretty easy job.

Thanks Jim. Fortunately, our problem was our patience. Once the WD-40 had a chance to work its way down and with a few more manual flips of the cam latch, our pos-a-lok is working like new.

They also make the pull handle on the inside of the door. It changed shape a bit in 2007, but fits the same screw holes. They even up-sized the screw a bit to make sure it would be secure, since the old one was pulled out of the door during an icy mishap over Easter weekend. (Handle replaced, rump still sore.)

I am glad that the problem resolved itself with a little patience. Most of us don't try that approach!
BTW, it looks like we might have been negligent in welcoming you to the forum. Please consider joining ACA and Alpine Socal if you have not done that already. Other than this forum, it is the best place to get info on your coach in instances like this. Not to mention finding great fellow Alpine Coach owners.
