Quartzite question

Good morning,

We are picking up our new to us 2005 Alpine 40 on Friday if all goes well. After 4 years in the same winter spot, we are talking about somewhere new for next year. Out west seems the logical choice. Where can I find out more about Quartzite? Are there some other spots you all love? It will be a change for us not being at the beach but it only makes sense to take the coach exploring!

Thanks

What kind of accommodations are you looking for:

Luxury resort
Regular CG
Dry camping area

And, what are your interests-- what do you like to do?

Regular campground, nothing fancy.
Dog friendly

We like to be active, be outside. Explore the area in our Jeep, visit cool places (parks, landmarks). We are very social, but aren’t into bingo and line dancing classes. Love to learn new things.

Dry camping once in awhile is good too.

Q-site is a destination Nov thru Mar, but not in the summer--IMHO....literally 10,000s of RVers inundate the town and surrounding BLM area during the winter months. There are a number of campgrounds in town and as mentioned, dry-camping space is unlimited. There are several large theme shows in town during the period--the RV show is 10 days and usually begins in mid to late Jan--3rd weekend???? The town is also famous for 100s/1000s of swap-shops and tent vendors of all shapes and sizes. Our Alpine travel grp has been hosting rallies at Q-site during the RV show for the last 19 years. 2021 will be our 20th anniversary so you might want to consider attending--it should be one of the biggest and best ever.....

We may just do that. I’ll have to figure out where to park...
I’ll spend some time reading the threads.

Thanks!

….if you are so incline, our rally is dry camping out in the desert, about 5 miles outside town. Over the years, we have had as few as 30 coaches and as many as 135. The last 10 years, we have rented an activity tent with chairs and tables, had catered meals, and hired local entertainment. So with the tent, we have a really good time, come rain or shine.....

Irie,

We are new to RVing and our Alpine.

I'm posing this from the area we had the rally outside Quartzsite.

If you can attend an ACA rally, you should. We learned a lot, and made a lot of new friends.

There are lots of options out here to camp. Yuma and parker are also popular areas.

Do you want to park and not move for a month? Do you want to boondock and drive into town every week or so and dump?
