In the coaches that use the TV monitor with no tuner built in, is there a separate tuner or is that function supplied by the satellite receiver? Is the DVD signal input to the TV monitor directly? If it is a separate tuner, can it power speakers? Does anyone have the model number to look up a manual?

I think my Sharp LCD monitor has a separate turner mounted right behind it. I think an integral unit would be better, as it's really hard to get to the inputs on the top of the tuner.

Our coach has a Sanyo VCR hanging behind the LG TV monitor. I had to find the splitter for the roof antenna and remove the signal going to the DirecTV and supply that to the VCR. So, to watch over the air signals we have to turn on the TV, VCR, and the Sony Home Theater system.

What I am trying to do is find out if there is any powered speaker outputs on Beverly and Buddy's TV. (They thought it was a monitor.) They have a LG Flatron L3200TC. I can find a brochure for it, but no manual. The brochure says that one of it's functions is multimedia speakers (stereo 10W X 10W), I don't know if this means it will power the speakers or powered speakers are needed. She is not finding any speaker connections on the TV.
What they would like is to run the two front surround speakers off of the TV, get a plane DVD player, get rid of surround sound amp, and extra speakers.

dgerstel,
In our 06 Limited, the LG Monitor is exactly that- a monitor. The RCA satellite receiver is the TV tuner for the LG monitor. The Sony DVD player amplifier we used to replace the Kenwood that fried early connects directly to the monitor for DVD signals and powers the speakers for the surround sound. The RCA satellite receiver also depends on the Sony DVD player/amplifier for its sound.
We use the RCA satellite receiver for off-air antenna and cable TV when we decide not connect to the satellite (like in a grove of trees). We simply scan the off-air or cable channels for TV directly from the RCA receiver. We just go to Menu, Setup, and go to the scan procedure. Then we turn on the Sony DVD player/amplifier to provide the sound.
Hope that helps.
