Anyone have a link to a service manual for the 7500? A friend had his go and he lost the generator. Thought it would be good to replace, but the Onan site does not have a downloadable one.

Well, since I am the impatient type, I just jumped into it. Glad I did; the belt had some pretty scary cracks, one almost going to the outside.

I had to order the belt from our local RV dealer and it will take a few days to get here. He was pretty surprised I was able to remove the back cover without removing the generator from the coach. It was not easy and it will be interesting to put back together. He suggested I examine the plastic tank for signs of cracking. He suggested that would be on the order of a $1500 bill if it cracked, since coolant would go right into the electronics.

Rich/Cork, overall age is a factor but service hours is probably the driver on wear and tear--any idea how many service hours were on that belt?

Here are a couple of pictures, one from the back of the generator showing the two pullys (top pully is actually off) and one from the top, showing the radiator and the plastic tank.
