Refrigerator problem

HI, We are having some problems with our Dometic NDR 1292 side by side refrigerator/freezer in our 2001 Alpine. The freezer is colder at the top than at the bottom and the refrigerator freezes stuff on the left side of the refrigerator and is noticeably cooler on the right side. Has anyone else had this problem? We are thinking perhaps a fan isn't working?

What fan are you talking about? The ones behind the unit that are to vent the heat out the vent from the coils or one inside the box itself? The fans on the back might not have a lot of influence on the distribution of cool inside the box. Small fans are available to put in the reefer to distribute the air evenly and keep frost/condensation from building up. Check in your refrigerator manual to make sure you have the thermistor in the proper location.
