I just finished replacing the Day/Night shades in our coach with cordless Levolor blinds from Lowe's. We choose the blackout type. Total cost was about $800. We also replaced the front curtain with (4) cordless Levolor blinds. So far we are very happy with them. They are much easier to operate and look much better. Having the 4 separate shades up front makes blocking the afternoon sun much easier without blocking the view completely by only lowering the ones needed. I do need to come up with a strap to secure the front shades for driving. I doubt they would come down while driving. I just don’t want to risk the chance that they might.

If your new shades have a pull string, like I am imagening, how about some small "cleats" like they use on boats to wrap the string around.

Big Jimbo, No exposed cords or strings. Just a push button to raise shades.
