Has anyone installed a residential fridge in their 36' Alpine?

Our rig came with the optional residential fridge from WRV. It is an Amana. It is bolted to the floor.

Yes, I have a Amana in my 05, it was bolted down at the bottom, if bolted at the top it came loose as I was making a curve a little too fast an it leaned over, doors came open scared DW & me. I have now installed a strap across the top to keep it in place I hope!! I must slow down more in the curves and be more careful!! Secure it at top & bottom if possible!! A lesson learned!!

Frank, the residential refig was an option, if you are looking to convert from a RV frig to a residential you have several concerns. First just the space, you will have to modify the cabinet to fit the new frig, then you need to be sure the battery bank is large enough to handle the increased load and of course the inverter/charger will also need to be sized properly. There are lots of considerations but it could be done.

We replaced our Dometic refrigerator with a residential GE in our 2001, 38ft Alpine. Because the propane furnace is located below the refrigerator inside the coach we were limited in the size refrigerator that could be installed. Even though it is only a 17 cubic ft refrigerator is much better and larger than the Dometic.

Amazing Creations in Junction City, OR, preformed the work.

I had my Samsung installed at Amazing Creations in Junction City, OR also, and they also installed the Magnum 2812 and new controller all in 7hrs and it looks great. It has been running on the inverter now for 2 years. Two to Bobby and Scott.
