Room Slide - Top Side Hang Up

I have an '02 34FDDS - Bought it about 18 mths ago.
The main slide has never extended very smoothly - I actually have my wife operate the switch and I push on the top side to "dislodge" it and get it moving out. At this point, the top of the slide is preventing it from fully extending - It's stopping about an inch from the finish line.
I'm assuming I need to take it in to have the room aligned? Doesn't appear to be a DYI project? Has anyone else had a similar issue?

You should check the top of the slide when it is extended. With the slide topper you need to look between the slide topper and and slide itself. The top of the slide has a rubberized layer that waterproofs the top of the slide, but it can tear and begin to bunch, which is enough to make the slide difficult to open/close. If you have never cleaned the top of the slide you should do that as well. And finally, once the slide top has been clean you can sprinkle talcum or baby powder on the slide that should free it up.
