Screen door repair

Does anyone know where to get the trim that goes on the screen door to cover the slots that hold the screen in the door? Its a white trim that you must take out to replace the screen. My dog went through it.

Thanks Gator

The circular rubber rope/spline that fits in the groove is available at hardware store and glass shops. Installing a RV screen door grille will help prevent it happening again. Some install plexiglass panels to protect the screen. RV Screen Door Grille Aluminum Screen Guard Protector camper Trailer Camco New | eBay
There is a "pet Screen" Pet Screen - Pet Proof Screening that sounds promising. Placing a aluminum mesh on the door will also repel walk throughs.

You don't show/mention the particulars of your Alpine Coach, but I presume you have the screen door manufactured by PTL Engineering. That rubber trim piece doesn't show up on their web site so I would suggest giving them a call. My past experience with them has been very good.

This is a White plastic cover. It's about 1/2 inch wide and fits in a groove and covers the rubber rope. It makes it look nice. I have never seen it before now.

I believe this is what you are looking for. I needed black so I did not order any. I found another source for black but not sure it will work.

Hello Wayne,
Sorry about the delay. I was trying to figure out the screen door trim you were inquiring about. The trim you are looking for is our spline cover and its only available in white. The part number is 007-058 for $2.35 per foot. If you would like to add this to your order let me know. I can ship your parts out today. Thank you.
