Question Screen Door Slide?

Trying to locate a replacement screen door slider? It is the part that slides open to reveal the handle. It seems to be larger than the 12" wide ones that are out there.

Any ideas?

TIA

When ours broke I went to Lowe's and purchased a small sheet of plexiglass. I cut it to fit, that was 5 years ago. Since then there are some scratches where the fixed panel glass has rubbed against the plexi, but it has worked great. Eventually I will replace the plexi to get rid of the scratches.

I replaced ours with tempered glass. No scratches and works great.

Went to HD and bought a 12" x 18" piece of Plexiglass. Cut it down to 12" x 14" and it fits great.

I did the Plexiglass first, but it scratched badly so went to the glass store for tempered glass and it is still nice looking after eight years. Yes, there are a couple of very minor scratches, hard to not have that happen if a large chunk of something gets between the sections, but it is so minor as not to be a problem. I had glass folks drill and stress relieve the hole for the knob; and I was able to remove the felt edge material and reapply it to the new glass.

Screen door slide replacement

Just saw this thread and thought I'd ask for some advice. When we bought our 2000 Damon Ultrasport a few years back there was no screen door slide. I've tried the E and P series and none work. The door handle extends about 1 1/2" past the frame and the floor cover (that covers the stairs) is close to the screen door. So the slide needs to be deep on top half and narrow on bottom, see picture. Any one have a similar situation or know of a slide that is not uniform in size? Thanks.

This is an Alpine forum, Alpines do not have a screen door with these issue, you would be best to repost this on the Thor forum.
