Ted- I actually solved this problem with our 06 coach, for a time anyway. It was, hopefully, the most expensive bulb replacement of my life. Next time I need a new bulb, I hope to save six figures.

Mike, the phone call may have been cheaper. By the way, has the wife given approval to the new coach as yet?

Would like to replace the light assembly for something that shines down into my space instead of my neighbors window. Has anyone got idea of such a replacement?

Richard & Cris, I just installed a light not quite over the door as I may want to put a door awning up so it is slightly back of the door. It is an outside porch light when you want it to be and at night you can leave it off and if someone approaches the coach it will go on and off as a deterrent. It was rather expensive (like a $ 100.00) and I am not certain it is worth it. There are numerous lights around that are porch lights. Camping World should have something, if not try this site for porch lights. www.kaperii.com/porch.html. If you position the light back a bit you can drill a hole into the upper cabinet. Bring your wires in there, pry up the floor of the cabinet and get a hot wire & ground from the under cabinet lights and mount a switch either in the closet or on the end of the outside of the cabinet.
Hope you folks are having wonderful holidays!! SOON

Boy has this thread become diluted. I hope newbies aren't getting confused. There are two parts as far as I can tell:

Scare light bulb (small bayonet base)

Grab handle light bulb (mini wedge, maybe mini bayonet)
Of course since the original question is now two years old, eMike's needing an answer has become a moot point since his elevation to Alpine Guru.
