We plan on selling our 2004 FDTS Alpine in the near future and plan on upgrading to a 2007. We have done a great deal of customized work including a complete cieling package with wood trim, lighting etc.. Has anyone had any good experience with any particular venue for selling their used coach?

Thanks for any input.

Jim & Mikki. I really don't have any help as far as what the best way to sell your coach is, but I would and probably others would be most interested in some pictures on the upgrades you have done.I think we are all interested in what ideas other Alpine owners have created. We certainly are.
Congratulations & good luck with your new coach.

Hi Ted & Carol,

Thanks for the reply but I don't have any idea how to post pictures for people to see. I can get some together and email directly to you if you are interested in seeing what we have done. I'm not too good with this computer stuff but I did learn how to do that.

When I sold my privious coach, I used RVtrader0nline. It included a package to list in the local RV Trader magazine also. I think the person who bought it saw it in the magazine first and then went on-line to see additional pictures.

Jim & Mikki - We have horrible results from trying to sell rigs on line in the past. Got all sorts of weirdos wanting to trade everything from wives to junk cars and loads of junk mail. We found that the easiest was just trading it to Guaranty when we bought our Apex.
If you do put it on line - be sure and use a new alias email address!

We just met the owners of Lifeline Batteries last week and they have a new '06 Alpine & told us about meeting someone in Pismo Beach that bought their used Alpine on EBay. Have no idea about how much or anything. But some people luck out. I would "zero" out!

Good luck - The Swans

Jim & Mikki - When we were looking for a used Alpine, I frequently checked PPL in Texas. <www.pplmotorhomes.com> They sell hundreds of all types of RVs via consignment. They provide good detail and pictures of each one online. They seem to be well respected, as I've seen much good and nothing bad posted about them over the past 3 yrs. Every time they get an Alpine on the list, it is already listed as 'sale pending'. Many people make their deal online or over the phone, then fly in to pick up their new-to-them coach. They have a list of folks waiting for certain brands, such as Alpines. If you read through their sellers and buyers info, you can see why they have happy customers. They do seem to want you to list right at NADA value and be willing to drop your price quickly if it doesn't sell right away, but as fast as they sell Alpines, I think you could get a fair price if you stick to your guns. They've built a good reputation and following. We haven't dealt with them personally, as we came across a good deal close to home, but always thought I'd give them a try if we wanted to sell or buy again.

Good luck,

Jim & Mikki,

Another consignment dealer to consider in Texas is Motor Home Specialist in Alvarado, TX 20 miles south of Ft. Worth on I35W.
MotorHomeSpecialist

Their fee is 5% plus $500. This is the dealer that I bought my 2006 Alpine Coach from. They have a really nice layout for used and consignment coaches.
