We have an 05 FDTS with the Sharp Aquos LCD. It has developed a "tornado" shaped smear from the top center to the bottom. It does not appear all the time, just seemingly when the signal is weak or the background is gray or brown and sometimes faintly in the other colors. The picture works OK but it is a nuisance. I thought it might be the wiring in back of the screen causing it so I rerouted with no success.
Any one else having this problem? Talked to Sharp and they said if it is a TV problem, it will get expensive in a hurry because the solution is trial and error at $200-400 a pop when they start changing out modules to see if it helps.

Also, anyone have the replace the front TV? Don't know what will fit the hole if it comes to that.

Next question: When we picked up our unit, it did not have a VCR or DVD recorder. Talked to factory and they told selling dealer's personnel that one cannot be installed. Has anyone installed a VCR or DVD recorder and, if so, what must one do?

Thanx for any and all comments.

We had blue lines that ran through ours sometimes but after awhile it became steady. We were a WRV and they had a repairman come and he hooked up his computer and did some kind of update. It has worked perfect the last 14 months.
