Shocks

Does anybody know if the front shocks are the same as the back shocks on a 2002 alpine motohome.

Dean,

I do not have the OE part numbers handy, but here is what we did 18 months ago and are very happy with the results:

Install new Koni shocks. Fronts: new generation 99 series 99B3209

Rear: FSD’s. 8805 1022.

Series 99 has 50 mm piston vs 90 series with 42mm and 88 series with 36mm. FSD-like, but not FSD. So 99 series 1.93 time the piston size of the 88 series.

Was the front shocks the same part number as the rear. I am wondering if the front shocks are the same as the rear shocks. Thanks

If you are needing to replace shocks, this link may be of interest. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f104/koni-vs-bilstien-vs-other-295058.html
There are other threads with many, and I mean many, responses. Lots of good information if you have the time read.
